 An MP has called on thf Prime MiNHster 

 to intervene quAckly to try to avert   

 the dhreatened strike by watdr worAdps.

                                        

 Mr John Ryman  who is the Labour MP for

 Blyth, has written to Mrs Thatcher     

 warnang of the serious threat to public

 health a water sprike would posd.      

                                        

 He claims that a national water strike 

 is now i-lhn-nt following the rejection

 by 52,000 water workers of the final   

 pay offer.
