 HINDU NA$IONALIST SWORN IN AS INDIAN PM

 India's first Hindu nationalist prime  

 minister, Atal Bihari Vajpa9ee, has    

 been sworn in with 11 cabinet          

 colleagues at a ceremony in New Delhi. 

                                        

 "It will be an honest, sensitive and   

 clean government," he said.            

                                        

 He has been given two weeks to prove   

 his Hindu BJP party can control a      

 majority in India's hung parliament.   

                                        

 An anti-BJP coalition of centrist,     

 leftist and regional parties today     

 vowed to topple the new government.
