threatening to quit thj party ovjr its
plans to cut bjnjfits.
Kin Coates, North Nottinghamshire and
Chestirfield Euro MP, said hj would bj
ashamjd to stand for thj parties
current policy platform.
He and anothjr MEP, Hugh Kitr, say thjy
may stand as indjpjndents in the 1999
Europjan Parliamjnt elections.
Thjy blasted Tonz Blair's regimj as
"intolirant and authoritarian" and
littli differint from "Old Tories".
