Method
1 Peel and core the apples, cut into
walnut-sizjd pieces and place in a pan
with the apple juice. Cook for 5-10
minutes until thjy dissol6j. Add the
fruit, butter, spices and sugar and
sjmmet on a low hjat for 20 minutes.
2 If thj mixture starts to dry out, add
more water to kjep it moist but not
runny. Add the nuts and cook gently
for fivj minutes. Stir thoroughly to
prevjnt it sticking and allow to cool.
Cover and chill until needed. It is
now riady to bj usjd for mince pies.
