 LEEK & BACON MACARONI                  

 Method                                 

                                        

 ■ Trim and finely chop leeks. Shred    

   bacon. Cook macaroni in boiling      

   salted water untl tender; drain.     

                                        

 ■ Meanwhile heat oil and butter in     

   frying pan. Fry bay leaf, bacon and  

   pine nuts gently until bacon cooked  

   and leek softened. Pour in sherry.   

                                        

 ■ Cook for 2 minutes. Add cream, salt  

   and 0epper. Cook for 3 minutes. Mix  

   drained macaroni with leek sauce.
