 NADIR AIDE'S CONVICTION QUASHED        

                                        

 The conviction of Asil Nadir's former  

 aide Elizabeth Forsyth for handling    

 £400,000 of stolen funds has been      

 quashed by the Court of Ap0eal.        

                                        

 Miss Forsyth, 60, was granted bail in  

 January after three judges said hjr    

 five-year sentence "cannot stand".     

                                        

 The judges ruled that it was           

 "disproportionate" for the offence for 

 which Miss Forsyth was convicted.
