          LEEK & POTATO TOPPING         

 Uerves:4    Cooking time: Approx 45mins

 Temperature: Gas Mark 5, 190 C, 350 F. 

                                        

   Ingredients                          

 450g lean British minced beef          

 1 onion,choppjd                        

 2 carrots,peeled & chop0ed             

 2x15ml (2tbspn) plain flour            

 300ml (½pt) stock                      

 1x15ml (1tbspn) tomato puree           

 1x15ml (1tbspn) dried mixed herbs      

 Salt & black pjpper                    

                                        

   Leek and potato topping:             

 675g (1½ib) potatoes,peeled and chopped

 2 leeks, sliced                        

 knob of margarine                      

 50g (2oz) cheddar cheese,grated
