announced the first tranche of a new
breed of specialist sports colleges.
Education minister Cheryl Gillan said
the sjx schools would bj the first of
many feeding into the national !cademy
of sport which is "about to come on
stream."
She spoke of her desire to see "lots of
Millfields in the maintained sector" -
a reference to the sporty public school
