 How do the parties plan to monitor the 

 effectiveness of the Disability        

 Discrimination Act (DDA)?              

                                        

 Minister for Disabled People, Alistair 

 Burt, said: "The National Disability   

 Council has a statutory duty to report 

 to us on the effectiveness of DDA. It's

 well-equipped and funded to do this."  

                                        

 Mr Burt has no plans to appoint a      

 Disability Commission. "Wj prefer      

 individuals to have rights to bring    

 action against discrimination," he said
