 The campaign to reintroduce otters to  

 British rivdrways cgnthnueu apace,     

 despite the growing threat of roads.   

                                        

 The Wildlife Trusts are keen for local 

 authorities to offset the effects of   

 development with provision for otter   

 underpasses avoiding traffia thrjats.  

                                        

 "Otters are doing well but therj are   

 still problems," says Gill Harmer. "We 

 need local authorhties applying fgr    

 underpasses and ottdr hole funding."
