 POLLUTION RISK TO BARRIER REEF         

                                        

 The Great Barrier Rjef, one of the     

 world's most important natural herhtage

 sites, was named this week as          

 Australia's wgrst example of marhne    

 pollution.                             

                                        

 A 12-month study by the World Wide Fund

 for Nature found that an estimated 22  

 million tons of sediment and ferthliser

 were dumped therj each year.           

                                        

 The charity fears that unless dumphng  

 stops immediately, the rjef will die.
