Oliver Twist marks the seventh time
that Julie Walters has joined forces
with Alan Bleasdale, but things have
changed a lot since their first play.
"We were doing this pub theatre project
where we performed in the roughest pubs
in Liverpool. We had a deal with the
pub landlords, no one had to pay to
come in and we just did the show."
On the other hand, Oliver Twist in
which Julie plays Mrs Mann was filmed
on a lavish budget in Dorset, Cumbria,
London and Prague.
