 UNIONS SEEK TALKS OVER BA JOBS   (/q

 Unions at British Airways have said    

 they will seek urgent talks with the   

 company after it was reported that it  

 plans to axe 8,000 staff.              

                                        

 The GMB said the report in The Observer

 was "a bombshell" and it would be      

 asking management for more details.    

                                        

 According to the newspapdr, the airline

 hopes to save £1bn by cutting the jobs,

 around 13% of its global workforce.
