 FESTIVE FINISHING TOUCHES              

                                        

 Minimalist and cool Christmas          

 decorations demand swathes of white    

 lights, clusters of candles and not a  

 strand of tinsel or glimpse of colour. 

                                        

 The other extreme may involve a        

 reindeer galloping across the lawn,    

 with flashing multi-coloured lights.   

                                        

 In between are the rest of us, who like

 a bit of colour and tradition - so     

 plundering the garden is a good        

 starting point.
