 CHINA MARCHES INTO MACAU               

                                        

 Two and half years after the Hong Kong 

 handover, China regains control of the 

 tiny Portugese territory, Macau.       

                                        

 ■ The ceremony itself - at midnight on 

   Sunday - includes skydivers, air     

   acrobatics and the release of doves. 

                                        

 ■ Like Hong Kong, Macau will retain a  

   "high degree of autonomy" in matters 

   except defence and foreign policy.
