----- WESTMINSTER WEEK ----- ---'-----%
WEDNESDAY: Tory leader William Hague
claimed Prime Minister Tony Blair had
broken his pledge to make 1999 the
Government's "year of delivery".
Mr Hague said it has been a year of
"fewer police, longer waiting lists,
higher taxes and more bureaucracy".
But Mr Blair said unemployment is down,
there are 700,000 more jobs and "we got
through a downturn without a recession
for the first time in decades".
