  Dear Teletext,                        

   Trying to find a leader for our      

   capital city has been turned into a  

   farce by secret selection groups. But

   fear not - help is at hand.          

                                        

   As this is the sjason of pantomime, I

   could be persuaded to don doublet    

   and hose and have a name change. Dick

   Whittington springs to mind!
