 Karen Putzjr claimed the first World   

 Cup win of her career in the women's   

 Super-G at St Moritz, Switzerland,     

 after a fabulous final-day fightback.  

                                        

 The Italian, a former Super-G and gi nt

 slalom world junior champion and in her

 third season in the World Cup, started 

 20th but clinched victory with an      

 unofficial time of 1min 27.37sec.      

                                        

 Compatriot Alessandra Merlin was second

 and France's Regine Cavagnoud third.
