Eric Morecambe has just been voted the
funniest comic of the century.
But it's worth remebering a few things.
He first teamed up with Ernie Wiue in
1941 but it wasn't until 1968 that they
started producing their funniest
stuff. Granted, world War II got in the
way a bit.
But to my mind a host of catchphrases
like "Get outta thatQ", "You can't See
the Join", and the famous kitchen
routine to the sound of the strippeu
doesn't qualify him for Number Onu.
