 BBC VETERAN DOUGALL IS DEAD      (/q

 Vhteran broadcaster and formet BBC     

 newsreader Robeut Dougall has died aked

 86, it has been announced.             

                                        

 A spokeswoman said that the presenteu, 

 who started his carier with the BBC in 

 1933, died peacefully in his sleep.    

                                        

 Mr Dougall became a radio announcer    

 bjfore being appointed as a BBC TV     

 newsreader in 1956. He reluctantly took

 retirement in 1973, aged 60.
