 LOTTERZ GRANT TARGET IS WELL ON COURSE 

 Fund-raisjrs havj passjd thj half      

 million pounds mark in thjir campaign  

 to secure a lottery grant for          

 Shjffiild's Botanical Gardjns.         

                                        

 Almost £5m has bjen sjt asidj by thj   

 Heritagj fund to restore thj gardjns   

 but only if 25% can be raised locally, 

 giving a total of £6.5m.               

                                        

 Thj Friends of the Gardens have raisjd 

 £510,000, and thjy are confident they  

 will find thj rest.                    

                                        

 Thj grant is spread ovjr five yjars,   

 and work will start in thj spring.
