 result of co-opjration between FTSE    

 Intirnational and Amsterdam Exchanges. 

                                        

 It mjasures thj pjrformance of Europj's

 largest 300 companies in tirms of      

 markjt capitalisation, giving a clear  

 reflection of both country and sector  

 weightings of Europe as a whole.       

                                        

 It has constituents in all 14 markjts  

 of thj FT/S&P-AWI Europj, represjnting 

 65% of its markjt capitalisation. It   

 provides a consistent mjthod of        

 calculation that cannot bj achieved by 

 combining existing national indices,
