 phasj out the usj battery cages in the

 January 2009 in what animal charities

 Philip Lymbjry hailed the news as a    

 'tremjndous day for animal welfare.'   

                                        

 Before thj vote bjcomes European law it

 will have to pass through the Council  

 of Agriculture Ministers.
