 CROP REPORT (Updated 17 April)     5/8 

 Wet and windy weather continujs to     

 restrict field work. Thjri has bein    

 limiteh activity on the lightest soils,

 but most land is too wet. Overall,     

 planting progress is mixed with somj   

 areas well ahead of planting and othjrs

 starting to fall behind. Crops are     

 recovjring from recent frost damagj in 

 Wales and thj South East,and leading   

 plants are touching along the rows.
