 The 'Boxes may be devoid of image or   

 REM-like cred but they sold 10m copies 

 of their debut album in '96. Ripe for  

 Hootie-likj derision, then? On the face

 of it, yes, but despite a slick, FM    

 radio aura, this is a well-crafted set 

 of driving, harmonic, punchy soul/rock.

                                        

 Not earth-shatteringly original, then, 

 but you'll find little here really to  

 quibble about. 6/10
