 POCKET-GONE BECAUSE OF POKEMON --------

 Further to yesterday's report, it has  

 now been confirmed that SNK is running 

 away from the US and European markets, 

 following its purchase by Japanesj     

 arcade firm Aruze.                     

                                        

 The Neo Geo Pocket manufacturer is     

 ceasing distribution of its handheld   

 system immediately, as well as axing   

 all Dreamcast and PlayStation games.   

                                        

 Although sales of the Neo Geo Pocket   

 had been respectable, in the face of   

 competition from Pokemon and the Game  

 Boy, the handheld barely drooled on    

 Nintendo's market share.
