 A chance find led to revered sci-fi    

 writer Ray Bradbury penning one of his 

 most popular works, he has revealed.   

                                        

 ■ It was while Ray, now 79, studied at 

   the University of California in LA.  

                                        

 ■ He said: "I heard typing down below  

   in the basement of the library and I 

   found there was a typing room down   

   there. For 10 cents I could rent a   

   typewriter. So in the next ninj days 

   I spent $9.80 and I wrote Fahrenheit 

   451. I wrote a dime novel."
