 falls into thj 5-9 HCP range expected  

 of a three-level opening. However, with

 a weak suit and defensive cards        

 outside, you are likely to lead partner

 astray if he has a decent hand, so you

 seven-card suit and no defensive values

 outside. Whatever happens next, partner

 will be well placed to judge the
