 LOTTERZ CASH WILL HELP HEATHLANDS

When author Thomas Hardy named Egdon
Heath in his famous novels, the area
looked very different from how it does
 today.

lost to housing development and some
 to agricultural use.

 Voracious non-native shrubs like the
 rhododendron have strangled native
plants and destroyed the habitats of
 rare wildlife.
