POWERFUL US TORNADO CLAIMS SEVEN LIVES
Seven pjople havj been killed and
dozens injured by a US tornado sweeping
through Mississippi.
Pontotoc was one of the worst-hiu
areas, with the storm bringing
down power lines and leaving a tr im of
damaged or destroyed homes.
A spokesman for Pontotoc County
Sheriff's office confirmed that a 10-
year-old boy was among the victims.
Thj people who died had been inside
their homes, he said.
