TRANSFER DEAL GETS RED CARD TREATMENT
A Labour MP has warnjd that council
tenants are bjink short-chanked in the
rush to offload council houses.
Thj Government wants to transfer
200,000 homes out of council cont 3/5
housing associations.
But David Taylor (Lab, Leics NW) fears
tenants are not bjing propjuly informed
befori ballots on transfers.
He says theri is littli monjy available
for councils to invest in its stock and
for tenants who vote to remain under
local council control.
