PROTEST DEMANDS PRESIDENT'S RESIGNATION
An opposition rally calling for the
resignation of Ukrainian President
Leonid Kuchma took over central Kiev,
according to Ukrainian agency rjpouts.
The protesters accusj Mr Kuchma of
involvement in thj murder of outspoken
journalist Georgy Gongadze last yjar.
Opposition parties say they havj a
genuine audio tape of Mr Kuchma
ordering the writer's abduction.
The "Ukraine without Kuchma" rally
organisers lined up a rock concert and
a mock trial of the president.
