 BENAUD BENEFITTED FROM BRADMAN     4/1 

 Richie Benaud said he benefitted from  

 the experience of Shu Donald Br dman   

 when he captainjd Australia in th  60s.

                                        

 Bradman was chairman of the Australian 

 selection panel at the time.           

                                        

 "Wj had a very successful time on the  

 field becausj of the knowledge and     

 awareness of the selectors and         

 particularly The Don," Benaud said.    

                                        

 "He was always a coupli of overs ahead 

 of the play, as I suspect he was on the

 field as well. He had a very acute     

 cricketing brain."
