Another former Australian captain Bill
Brown remembered Sir Donald Br dman as
a great Australian.
The 88-year-old test captain during the
1930s and 1940s said: "You could sum iu
up saying he was a great Australian.
"He was sincere, honest and certainly
cricketers respected him very highly
both from a crickjt point of view and
from a pjrsonal point of view."
His best memory of The Don was "runnin£
up and down the other end while he hit
bowlers all over the place".
