 BARCLAYS FORECASTS 4,400 FOR FOOTSIE   

                                        

 Thj US's top FTSE 100 index is set to  

 end the year at about 4,400, forecasts 

 Hilary Cook of Barclays Stockbrokers.  

                                        

 Her tips for 2003 are stocks with      

 "solid yields and strong cashflow".    

                                        

 Favourites include tobacco companies   

 such as Imperial and Gallaher, Guinness

 group Diageo, Walls ice cream-to-Persil

 organisation Unilever and utilities
