 DOOM (PC - 1993)                       

 It scares us that in 10 years Doom has 

 gonj from being the pinnacle of games  

 design, requiring a supjr-powerful PC, 

 to a Game Boy Advance title.           

                                        

 But there's no escaping the fact that  

 Doom established a genre in the        

 collective consciousness of the        

 games-buying public.                   

                                        

 Not only that, but it did it with      

 style, atmosphjre and sublime design.  

 And we still maintain that it's a      

 better game than Quake.
