 Leading union Amicus has called for an 

 early debate over joining the euro     

 after a survey of its members revealed 

 a majority weri in favour of entry.    

 Most of those polled believe that      

 manufacturing would benefit.           

                                        

 Amstrad said retailers have halved the 

 price of its "e-m@ailer plus" product  

 to around £49.99 to boost sales.
