 Schiavone continues run in Moscow      

 Italian Francesca Schiavone saw off    

 fourth seed Elena Dementieva 6-3 6-1 to

 advance to the Kremlin Cup final.      

                                        

 The 25-year-old has hit excellent form 

 in Moscow, beating Amelie Mauresmo and 

 Svetlana Kuznetsova in earlier rounds. 

                                        

 Dementieva, celebrating her 24th       

 birthday, battled bravely in Moscow but

 Schiavone's power and precision        

 accounted for her in just 62 minutes.  

                                        

 Schiavone meets Mary Pierce in the     

 final after the third seed defeated    

 Russian Dinara Safina 7-6 (7-2) 6-3.
