Ten things we didn't know last week
■ Three-quarters of the salt in our
diets comes from processed foods.
A new healthy-eating television
campaign says daily salt intake should
not exceed six grams, which is the
equivalent of about a teaspoonful.
■ Noodles have been around for at least
4,000 years, it was learned after the
world's oldest remains of the food were
found in China.
The find could settle the argument over
whether the Chinese, Italians, or Arabs
first created the string-like food.
