Panic button scheme set to expand
A 24-hour emergency care service has
been relaunched and it is hoped it can
be made more widely available.
The Lincare system works by giving
members an emergency button on a
pendant which gives them instant
contact with a control centre.
The system is currently being used in
Lincoln but it is hoped it can be
expanded over a wider area.
So far 6,000 people have been connected
to Lincare, generating about 7,000
calls a month.
