 By counting their numbers and          

 monitoring their movements he has shown

 that human impact of any sort has      

 detrimental effects on Britain's seal  

 populations. As a result, schemes have 

 been set up to train people in the area

 how they can approach and observe seals

 without causing harm.                  

                                        

 Michaela Strachan spent a day with     

 Stephen Westcott and found getting     

 drenched in sea-water isn't all that   

 bad if it gets you up close to baby
