 Lennon memorabilia up for auction      

 A collection of John Lennon memorabilia

 worth an estimated $2m (£1.1m) is to be

 auctioned in London on Thursday.       

                                        

 The memorabilia, which has taken more  

 than 25 years to assemble, spans the   

 Beatle's life from his art school days 

 in Liverpool to his final solo album.  

                                        

 Lots include the tunic that inspired   

 the Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club    

 Band album cover and a handwritten     

 manuscript of All You Need Is Love.    

                                        

 The auction will take place at the     

 Hippodrome in central London.
