 Fantastic Four lead UK box office      

 Superhero quartet The Fantastic Four   

 have taken the lead at the UK box      

 office, with weekend takings of £3.5m. 

                                        

 However, takings were down on last week

 which saw animated adventure Madagascar

 top the box office charts with £5.4m.  

                                        

 The only other new entries in the top  

 10 were Dark Water, at number five, and

 Kicking and Screaming at eight.        

                                        

 Sci-fi blockbuster War of the Worlds,  

 starring Tom Cruise, slipped two places

 to number four, behind US comedy       

 Wedding Crashers at number three.
