 France sentences sex ring members      

 A French court has sentenced five      

 people at the heart of one of the      

 country's biggest child sex trials to a

 total of more than 100 years in prison.

                                        

 The five were key figures in a vast    

 paedophile ring in a deprived          

 neighbourhood in the town of Angers.   

                                        

 Sixty-six defendants have been on trial

 since March, charged with sexually     

 abusing 45 children.                   

                                        

 It is expected to take the jury, which 

 spent over a month deliberating, some  

 time to finish reading the verdicts.
