 PUBLIC TRANSPORT NOT AN OPTION         

 Chris, 31 a nurse, was diagnosed with  

 Hodgkins lymphoma in May 2001. He had a

 battle on his hands to get full sick   

 pay entitlement.                       

                                        

 He was ineligible for benefits and he  

 and his partner had to move in with    

 Chris's parents.                       

                                        

 Chris's parents had to buy a second    

 hand car on their VISA card to take him

 to appointments as their house was not 

 on a bus route.                        

                                        

 After treatments he would have been    

 unable to walk to a bus stop anyway.
