Wildcat Rooney out for six months
Wakefield stand-off Jamie Rooney will
be out for approximately six months
after damaging a cruciate lig!ment.
The 25-year-old, who is the Wildcats'
top scorer in Super League this season,
injured his knee in the 44-18 win over
Widnes on 17 July.
Rooney will undergo surgery at the end
of August and should be fully fit by
the start of next season.
Wildcats coach Tony Smith said: "J!mie
is a strong character and he will be
fit and fresh for next season."
