Stupples relishing home comforts 2/2
Karen Stupples is glad to be back on
familiar ground as she prepares to
start her defence of her British Open
title at Royal Birkdale on Thursday.
Stupples, 32, produced a final-round 64
at Sunningdale last year to become only
the third English woman to win a major.
"It's nice to be back playing at home.
This is a course that I know very well
and always enjoy playing," she said.
"It's a very different golf course to
Sunningdale, but you have to adopt a
similar strategy - be very patient."
