 India                                  

 The Indian monsoon, which had a slow   

 start has now gained ground. Most parts

 of India have now seen about 98% of    

 their usual rainfall for the season. On

 Tuesday the monsoon unleashed mayhem on

 the west of the country, with an       

 astounding 949mm, nearly a metre of    

 rain falling in one day in the         

 outskirts of Mumbai (Bombay).  This    

 sets a new record for India as it's
