Jimmy Calderwood's arrival as manager
heralded a new dawn at Pittodrie and
last season's fourth-place finish in
the SPL was testament to that.
A cost-cutting policy over the last few
years meant that Calderwood finally had
funds with which to strengthen his te!m
during this close season.
His principal acquisitions have been
Steve Lovell and Barry Nicholson, from
Dundee and Dunfermline respectively.
Their main aim will be to claim third
place in the SPL this season.
