 Frankfurt Market Report                

 (Close): Leading German shares ended   

 the session in the black, lifted by    

 gains in several big n!mes.            

                                        

 The benchmark Dax index closed 11.86   

 points ahead at 4,855.35.              

                                        

 DaimlerChrysler was a key driver of the

 index, up 1.45% ahead of results on    

 Thursday. Fellow heavyweights Deutsche 

 Bank and Deutsche Telekom also gained. 

                                        

 On the downside, Infineon led the      

 losers - sinking 2.51% - in the wake of

 a drop in profits unveiled by French   

 peer STMicroelectronics.
